Barbecue Shack

Nestled in the heart of Eastanollee, Barbecue Shack at 4568 Hwy 17 has built a reputation for serving up classic, no-frills Southern barbecue with bold flavors and generous portions. Whether you're a fan of slow-smoked brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs, or traditional chopped pork, this local spot delivers an experience that keeps customers coming back. The kitchen stays true to the essence of Southern barbecue—low and slow cooking, simple seasoning, and a focus on rich, smoky flavors that stand out without overwhelming sauces or marinades.

Diners can indulge in classic plates like Bar-B-Q pork, tender brisket sandwiches, and smoked chicken—all accompanied by comforting sides. The Brunswick stew is a crowd favorite, often praised for its deep, homestyle flavor. Those looking for lighter fare can opt for sandwiches with slaw, while larger groups often go for bulk orders of pork and stew to share. For a sweet finish, the cheesecake and homemade cakes round out the meal perfectly.

A Laid-Back Atmosphere with Southern Hospitality

The charm of Barbecue Shack extends beyond the menu. Walking into the restaurant, you’ll find a casual, welcoming space with a warm, down-home feel. Love their Brunswick stew the most. Also great cole slaw and chopped pork We do takeout and the drive thru line is too slow. I recommend calling in an order and going inside to pick it up. We like to order bulk as in a pound of pork, a quart of stews, and a pint of Cole slaw.

The main thing about this BBQ restaurant is its consistency. You're going to get the same food and service every time. They have the best stew around. The chopped pork can be a little on the dry side so be sure to ask for some rib sauce to go with it. Slaw is great and the tea is as good as anywhere else.
